I have been born on the last day of October 1979, in Plovdiv, Bulgaria, and since 2000 I live
in Sofia. My childish curiosity about the world has brought me to the wonder of art. Plovdiv’s
Secondary School of Fine Art gave me first instructions on how to deal with art. Art seen
through the eyes of restorer is what the National Academy of Art’s master program has later
trained me in. Besides, I have attended the Ahmed Chaushev's workshop for eight years.
Drawing in pencil, in ink and nib; when in pencil: no lines; the graphic stain became my
subject of study. More or less, developed or slightly evolved, these are components of my
Classical painting techniques have attracted my interests as student. In my opinion if one
wants to paint as ancient masters, he or she would think same way and apply same
technique and materials. My best as painter hasn’t benefited that much from the academic
training, but I have felt myself pleasured by the process. One could easily notice that my later
painting are influenced by what I have learned.
As a restorer I have experience with frescoes, icons paintings and painting on canvas.
I have been involved in software business since 2003. Then started to work for bvm Bulgaria,
a studio for creating off-line games for children. Its graphic style relied on classical 2D and
3D animation and although the company name changed in two years as morgenstudios, the
artistic direction remained untouched. I have kept busy there for four years. Set designing,
editing of animations, scenes and productions; as a project leader I developed some grand
Poliglot is the company I have worked for almost a year. Interactive teaching aids and
games, developed by using flash graphic and animation.
At xec-studio I started on 2 May, the exact year I don’t remember. Hundreds of projects were
developed. Web sites of all kinds, presentations, games, mobile applications, and
representative, corporative and short animations. I expanded my specialty to web design,
flash animation, video composing, and character design. Meanwhile I have engaged in
development of freelance projects, either as an individual or as a team member.
It is not to say that I have held any office or belonged to a particular professional guild, which
to define me. There is nothing close enough to my insight, nothing to really impress me in a
way to bring me in front of office or guild. No style could express me. I largely rely on
experiments, start things afresh, for I do value their genuineness.
